Kids are wonderful. They never fail to make life lively during dull and not-so-dull moments. They’re amazing in that they can be your heart’s delight for one minute and become wailing irritants the next. A teddy bear is certainly no substitute for having kids of your own, especially 3-year-olds and 2-year-olds with their cuddly cute faces looking up at you. Seeing their eyes light up when watching their favorite cartoon shows like Dora the Explorer, Barney, Blue’s Clues and Disney characters like Mickey Mouse is a sight to behold. You can easily see those twinkling innocent eyes drawing in those images like water to a sponge.

Kids help us get in touch with our inner child. Hence, they can also serve as the perfect alibi for eating lots of ice cream, chocolates, and buying the toys you never had enough of when you were a kid. Nothing beats having fun with your kids. As they say, its hard to discipline kids but I say its a tad harder to discipline the adults with kids. Patience can be really hard to come by when the melting ice cream starts to drip down that expensive Persian carpet.

While they do make life grossly unpredictable at times, kids are our legacy to the world at large. They serve as mirrors of the past by bringing back memories of our youth and of happy times with our own parents. There can be no greater fountain of youth and elixir of immortality than our children. Be it angelic smiles of pleasure or tyrannical tantrums, these are images we should add in the treasure trove of our memories. So as I said, “Kids are wonderful.”
